Local SEO · Clinics & local services

Medical local SEO — own the map pack, fill the schedule.

I’m Lev Brovtsev, a local SEO consultant for US clinics and local service businesses. Google Business Profile, the local map pack, citations, and reviews — engineered so nearby patients find and choose you, and measured against booked patients in your CRM, not ranking screenshots.

The problem

You rank nationally. The clinic down the street owns the map.

A patient searching for your service sees the map pack first — three local results, above everything else. If you’re not in it, most of them never scroll to find you, no matter how strong your national SEO is.

Local visibility is its own discipline: proximity, profile completeness, reviews, and citations. Treating it as an afterthought to content SEO is why so many good clinics are invisible where it counts.

What actually moves map pack ranking
FactorWhat it meansWhere most clinics lose it
ProximityDistance from the searcher at query timeFixed by service-area settings, not something copy can override
Profile completenessCategories, services, hours, attributes all filled inSet up once at launch, never revisited as services change
Review velocity & qualityRecent, responded-to reviews outweigh old onesReviews requested sporadically, responses left blank
Citation consistencyName, address, phone identical across directoriesOne old address or a dropped suite number breaks the match

Questions owners ask

Before you book a call.

How is local SEO different from regular SEO?

Regular SEO competes for national or topic-wide rankings; local SEO competes for the map pack and 'near me' searches that fill a clinic's schedule. It leans on Google Business Profile, proximity, reviews, and local citations rather than pure content authority.

How do I rank in the Google map pack?

The three-pack rewards a complete, active Google Business Profile, consistent name-address-phone citations across the web, genuine review velocity, and location pages with local schema. I build all four, then track map-pack position for your money keywords.

Do reviews really affect local rankings?

Yes — review quantity, velocity, and recency are ranking and conversion factors both. I set up a compliant review-generation process so it grows steadily, and handle the profile signals around it.

I have several locations — can you handle that?

Yes. Multi-location clinics need per-location profiles, location pages, and citation management done without duplicate-content or NAP conflicts. That structure is exactly what I build.

Can you guarantee top-3 in the map pack?

No — proximity is a ranking factor nobody controls, and anyone promising fixed map positions is lying. What I fix is everything within the profile's control: relevance and completeness. That's regularly the difference between page 2 and the pack.

Do you write reviews or remove bad ones?

Neither — fake reviews are the fastest way to a suspension. I set up a compliant review request flow and flag policy-violating reviews for removal through official channels. Fixable ones get response templates.

My profile got suspended. Can you help?

Reinstatement is a separate process from optimization — contact me first and I'll assess whether the suspension is recoverable and what documents Google will ask for.
